सरफ़रोशी की तमन्ना (Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna) - The Desire to Sacrifice - Bismil Azimabadi/Ram Prasad Bismil .  Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna Ab Hamare Dil Mein Hai, Dekhna Hai Zor Kitna Baazu - e - Qatil Mein Hai. When I first heard this line while watching Shaheed (1965) starring Manoj Kimar way back in the 90's as a kid little did I know that such revolutionary poem which have the power to instill patriotism and courage to do something for your country will not fit in some body's political ideology. Rajasthan BJP government has dropped it from class VII textbook along with references to Jawaharlal Nehru and another poem 'Jhansi Ki Rani ' by Subhadra Kumari Chauhan . I don't understand what they are trying to prove by defaming/omitting/changing/manipulating historical facts?
